Where is Maná made?

Maná is a family run business established in 2023.

All Maná products are handcrafted in small batches in a private home-based studio in Comox British Columbia Canada. Nestled in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, we are passionate about nature and the outdoors, and love to incorporate our surrounding environment into the look, smell, and feel of our products.

What ingredients are used?

All Maná products are made using 100% natural ingredients from Mother Earth. Where possible certified organic ingredients are used. Ingredients are pure, clean, safe, ethically sources and BC Business distributed. Our products are FREE from chemicals, toxins, GMO's, artificial colours and fragrances, aluminum, and other harmful ingredients.

Maná ingredients are as clean as it gets. If we wouldn't put it on our child, you won't find it in Maná!

What is the shelf life of the product?

Since our products are made with natural ingredients, they are best used within 10-12 months of opening (although we hope you’ll enjoy using them and expect you’ll use it up much quicker than that!). 

Keep your Maná products stored in a cool, dark place, such as a bathroom cabinet, away from sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid introducing water or any outside chemicals into the containers, and always put the lids back on before storing. 

Should I avoid a product if I have a skin condition?

General advice is to avoid products that contain ingredients known to
irritate or worsen your skin condition. For example, individuals with sensitive skin may want to avoid products with fragrances, alcohol, or certain preservatives.

If you have conditions like eczema or psoriasis, avoid products with harsh exfoliants or strong acids, as they can potentially worsen these conditions. Some preservatives can be irritating to sensitive skin. Use nature products as much as possible and those with simple, clean ingredient lists.

Know that Maná products are as natural, simple, and clean as it gets. However, we recommend that you perform a patch test before applying a new product to your entire body or face. Apply a small amount of the product to a discreet area and monitor for any adverse reactions for at least 24 hours.

Pay close attention to how your skin reacts to new products. Be patient as it can take a couple of weeks for the product to begin balancing the skin. If you notice any redness, itching, or worsening of your skin condition, stop using the product. As always, consult with your dermatologist if skin is
worsening.

How do I know what products are right for my skin?

You will notice on our website and on our packaging, there is a continuum from oil to dry skin provided for each product. Based on your skin type select
the appropriate product.

Skin types are as follows:

Normal Skin - Balanced oil production, few imperfections, and small pores.

Oily Skin - Excess sebum production, enlarged pores, prone to acne and blackheads.

Dry Skin - Lack of moisture, flakiness, tightness, and fine lines.

Combination Skin - Combination of oily and dry areas, often an oily T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin) and dry or normal cheeks.

Sensitive Skin - Prone to redness, itching, burning, or dryness. Reacts easily to skincare products and environmental factors.

Mature or Aging Skin - Fine lines, wrinkles, loss of elasticity, and changes in skin tone.

We also recommend that you perform a patch test before applying a new product to your entire face. Apply a small amount of the product to a discreet area and monitor for any adverse reactions for at least 24 hours.

It's important to note that individual skin types can vary, and factors such as climate, diet, and lifestyle can influence your skin's condition. Additionally, your skin type may change over time, so it's a good idea to reassess your skincare routine periodically.

What charity(s) do your products support?

In 2013 our son was born with Cerebral Palsy. Our son and family continue to be personally impacted as time goes on. Those living with CP and their family members face the emotional, mental, physical, and financial tole of living with CP.

Our lived experience calls us to give back to this charity and help support people with disabilities to maximize their potential. The Cerebral Palsy Association of British Columbia is a non-profit organization. Their vision is to create a life without limits for people with disabilities.

When you pay for your order, you will see the option to donate to the Cerebral Palsy Association of BC. If every customer contributed $1, what would the accumulative impact be? Why is the colour of this batch of product different from the last?

Maná uses quality, fresh, raw ingredients in all of our products. We purchase ingredients in small batches to maintain freshness, we handmake products in small batches. Like all plants, flowers and botanical ingredients, colours may vary from batch to batch. All our products are tested with love by friends and family. 

Are your products tested on animals?

All our products are cruelty free, using only the best quality natural ingredients.

Payment and Orders

How do I know that my order has been received?

You should receive a follow up email within 24 hours after you order with a tracking number. If you for some reason do not receive it, kindly email us at hello@manabynature.come and we will be happy to forward you the number!

Can I change or cancel my order?

You have 30 days from the time of purchase to apply for a refund or exchange your order.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Interact and PayPal. When your order is made, payment option will be presented at checkout.

How do I redeem a promo code?

Upon check out you will see an option to redeem your promo code. Enter your code in the space provided.

How do e-gift cards work?

We have gift cards available for purchase online. You can purchase a Gift Card here.

You can use your gift card online to purchase our skincare products, just enter your unique gift card code at checkout. KEEP YOUR GIFT CARD SAFE! Treat it like cash, only you have access to the unique code.

Sales of gift cards are final and do not apply to our Return Policy.

Shipping and Returns

When will I receive my order?

You should receive your order within 10-15 business days of ordering. Please take into account regular or expediated and location of shipping.

What happens if my package is lost or stolen?

If you have not received your package 24 hours after it is marked as delivered, we encourage you to file a missing package claim with the carrier. We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages.

If your order is returned to us due to an incomplete or incorrect shipping address, we can re-ship your order for a flat rate re-shipping fee.

If I’m missing an item from my order, what should I do?

Where do you ship?

We currently ship throughout Canada and the United States. Additional shipping costs will be added to our purchase at checkout for orders outside of Canada.

We have a flat rate shipping fee of $20 for all orders under 5kg (11 pounds) within Canada.

If you spend over $200 (before tax), orders within Canada will be shipped for FREE!

At this point in time, we do not offer free in-store pick-up.

What shipping methods do you offer?

We ship via UPS and Canada Post. We will do our best to get your order out within 5 business days of receipt. All packages are shipped and delivered Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. Shipping times vary according to the distances of destination.

What kind of packaging will I receive my order in?

Depending on the size or your order you will receive your product either in an eco-friendly bubble packed envelope or box.

What is your return/exchange policy?

If something isn’t right with the product, please reach out to hello@manabynature.com and we will do our best to make it right and begin the return/exchange process!

Maná will refund one hundred percent (100%) of the purchase price (plus applicable tax if prepaid) of new or gently used products that are returned by a customer within thirty (30) days of purchase from the company, less shipping costs.

Maná will exchange products if the returned products were received by the purchaser in damaged condition or were incorrectly sent. Such products must be returned within thirty (30) days of purchase. Whenever possible, returned products will be replaced with undamaged products. However, when an exchange is not feasible, then Maná reserves the right to issue credit for the exchanged products.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how to send us your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. 

We regret that we are unable to refund your original shipping charges, unless the return is a result of our error (wrong products sent). Please allow 30 days for your return to be processed. You will receive an email confirmation once your return has been processed. Your financial institution may take longer to reflect the transaction.

Products must be returned in new or gently used condition. Maná monitors return activity by customers for abuse and if we detect what we consider to be excessive or potentially fraudulent return activity form a customer, that customer may be notified in writing that Maná will no longer accept any returns for that customer with or without a receipt.
